Здравствуйте! У меня вот какой вопрос:
"Entreat me not to leave thee" (Book of Ruth, 1:16) переводится как не проси меня покинуть тебя (таков смысл оригинала, это совершенно точно).
Но, мне кажется, исходя исключительно из конструкции фразы, это должно быть упроси меня не покидать тебя. Это такой английский вариант нашего казнить-нельзя-помиловать, я права? Или в староанглийском эта конструкция всегда носила именно такой смысл?

а) Выражает незаконченное длительное действие. Употребляется для выражения действия, которое будет длиться в течение некоторого времени в будущем или в указанный момент в будущем.

• I will be playing tennis at 10am tomorrow.
• I'll be reading the whole day tomorrow.
• He'll be preparing for my examination in July.

б) Для обозначения ожидаемого в будущем действия, не имеющего оттенка намерения.

• He won't be driving us to the airport. He is unwell.
  He won't drive us to the airport. (не намерен, не хочет везти)

в) Для обозначение длительного действия, которое будет прервано.

• I will be watching TV when she arrives tonight.
• I will be waiting for you when your bus arrives.
• He will be studying at the library tonight, so he will not see Jennifer when she arrives.

Обратите внимание, что в примерах подчеркнутые слова стоят в Present Simple, т. к. они стоят в придаточных предложениях времени или условия.

г) Когда два действия совершаются одновременно, они выражаются связкой либо Future Continuous (главное) + Present Continuous (придаточное), либо Future Simple (главное) + Present Simple (придаточное).

• While Ellen is reading, Tim will be watching television.
• While I'm doing my homework, he'll be watching TV.

Но:

• I am going to be studying and he is going to be making dinner. (нет while)
• Tonight, they will be eating dinner, discussing their plans, and having a good time. (нет while - придаточного предложения)

Когда несколько параллельных действия начинаются в будущем в определенное время и описывают обстановку, также употребляется Future Continuous.

• When I arrive at the party, everybody is going to be celebrating. Some will be dancing. Others are going to be talking. A few people will be eating pizza, and several people are going to be drinking beer. They always do the same thing.
