Доброго времени суток. ) Помогите, пожалуйста, с проверкой текста на грамотность. Укажите на ошибки/неточности. Писала ночью, чувствую много придётся исправлять, а сама свои ошибки не вижу..(
My closest friendFrankly speaking, I’m not very sociable, so I don’t have many friends. As for me I am happy that in my life there is a person whom I can call my close friend.
His name is Alex and he is 22 years old. If I were to describe how he looks, I would say he is good-looking young man. (guy) He has an oval thin face, fair hair; gray slanting eyes, a big straight nose, a small pointed chin, (plum/chubby/full ?) lips and a pleasant smile with white teeth. He is tall and quite slim. Someone can find (?) him thin and wiry. He smokes and often not getting enough sleep, so I can’t say, that he has a healthy complexion. He hasn’t got a beard or a mustache.
He doesn’t like to dress up so I usually see him wearing jeans and a T-shirts or a sweater.
We have got acquainted through the Internet 3 years ago on one forum. After a year of communication on the Internet we have decided to meet. Our first meeting was very memorable. First impression of him was only positive. I had a feeling that I've known him a long time. We already talked, as friends. I won't forget that day when I met him. I certainly was nervous about meeting a stranger, but for some reasons I felt that I could trust him. I remember he talked a lot, trying somehow to amuse me. In general it has made me a very strong impression. We walked around the city, and then he escorted me to the bus stop. Thereafter we talked for another 2 hours on the Internet. I apologize for my silence, and he for his garrulity. It was fun. So there was our acquaintance and the friendship has begun.
He older than me and always can gave a good advice. We really trust each other.
He is such a person, who say the truth in the face, even if it hurts. Sometimes he criticizes me, but he does it not to offened, he want to correct me if I make mistakes.
As a true friend he will never let me down in the difficult situation. He is neither envious and jealous. He is happy for me, if I have a good news. With him I can be myself, express one’s feelings and make mistakes without fear of judgement. I really appreciate it.
What I like about him is that he’s interesting and interested. He finished art school, enjoys linguistics, knows how to play the accordion and acoustic and electronic guitar, likes to play chess and ride a bike. He diversified person. On my birthday he presented me picture which he painted. When I come to visit him, he always plays the guitar solo some, such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and etc.
I have some new hobbies through his influence.
We spend a lot of time together going out to the cinema or just walk through the streets, speaking about films and music, discussing our problems. We can spend hours talking on the phone sharing the important news or talking about sweet nothings. Sometimes we swear as any other people. But in any case it doesn’t last long.
I think that the quotes “Strangers are just friends waiting to happen.” - just about us. So don't automatically dismiss the chance to meet someone you don't know, because you may just be pleasantly surprised at who that person actually is.
In conclusion I want to say that Alex is a person whom I can rely in any situation; he is a person who is dear to me.Буду очень благодарна, если кто-нибудь отзовётся помочь. )

Непонятно, зачем as for me здесь поставили. Простого but хватит. И опять же, уберите whom.)

А можно и "a" оставить. Прилагательное же вначале, тут уж на усмотрение автора. Можно поставить "a" и мотивировать тем, что вначале идёт как бы "абстрактный" лучший друг, можно и "the", уже называя Алекса лучшим другом. Не знаю, мне кажется, двоякая ситуация)
