Как можно перевести "basket" и "tool-booths"? Есть подозрения, что это американский английский. Контекст:
"It is no secret that human beings have been replaced by baskets at tool-booths stations throughout the country. <...> human money-collecting on highways is undignified and probably boring, and in the second place, baskets are much better suited to the job than human hands. Baskets are bigger and never clammy".
Кроме того, к этим штуковинам обращаются автомобилисты. И они же (baskets) выдают сдачу. Я понимаю, что это связанно с автозаправками или чем-то подобным, но как это по-русски называется?
