The present perfect, the present perfect continuous or the past simple.

I’m sorry I didn’t write to you but I was busy.
As you know, I have been waiting anxiously since June to hear from the universities that I applied to. Well, Southborough University the university that I have always wanted to attend, accepted my application! Isn’t that great? Although I thought about living on campus, I decided not to. I have been looking through the ads for a flat and my mother and I are going to Southborough tomorrow. We made appointments to see three flats. I am excited but also a little nervous as I have never lived on my own before.
What has you doing lately? I hope all is well.
